Due to the impact of domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, and livestock wastewater, the pollution of the Shashe River section is moderately polluted to severely polluted. Considering the public's unfavorable perception of the water body and stench of the Shashe River, the Pingtung County Government The Environmental Protection Bureau plans to promote the "Pingtung County Shashe Creek Water Quality Purification Plant Design Project", and set up on-site river treatment facilities in the upper reaches of the Shashe Creek. It is expected to accelerate the improvement of the water quality of the Shashe Creek and effectively improve the condition of the coastal water body in Pingtung City and living environment.
